On October 1, 1973 Kendall Electric, led by Charlie Kodis and Gene Roberts, was established as a single branch in Battle Creek, MI. Charlie's vision was to develop an electrical distributor providing a knowledgeable resource for electrical equipment with an unequaled level of customer service. That vision has been kept alive and Kendall has experienced significant growth not only in the number of locations we have but also the industries we serve. In December 2012 Kendall Electric purchased J.O Galloup Company which also included Merlo Energy and Smith Instrument. This key acquisition entered Kendall into the pipe, valve and fitting (PVF), steam energy and instrumentation industries. With such a broad portfolio of companies, Kendall has transformed into The Kendall Group as of October 2014.
