Sr. Corporate Tax Manager

WellSky is looking for a Sr Corporate Tax Manager to join their team. This role involves handling tax compliance, research, audits, and planning. The responsibilities include ensuring compliance with tax laws, collaborating with management on tax planning strategies, and utilizing tax software to optimize the tax function.

A day in the life!

You will be responsible for the following:

  • Overseeing tax compliance including registrations, preparing, reviewing and filing of federal, state, and local corporate tax returns
  • Preparing and/or reviewing tax workpapers to support tax filings (tax trial balances, book/tax reconciliations, state apportionment schedules, etc.)
  • Working with various departments to gain understanding of book treatment for transactions to ensure appropriate tax returns positions
  • Preparing and/or reviewing quarterly projections and estimates of taxable income
  • Supporting Tax team on responding to federal, state, and local tax audits and inquiries related to tax filings
  • Researching, documenting, and reviewing the Company's tax positions regarding all areas of tax, including monitoring developments in applicable areas of the tax law to determine the impact to the Company's tax return position
  • Managing outsourced U.S. and Canadian sales and using/VAT/GST/HST tax compliance
  • Managing property tax and other indirect tax compliance to ensure timely accurate reporting and remittance
  • Performing other job duties as assigned

Do you have what it takes?

Required Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Finance or related field
  • 8-10 years related work experience

Do you stand above the rest?

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4-5 years public accounting experience

  • Working in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures
  • Performing other responsibilities as assigned
