Job Overview

This position works collaboratively and collegially across the system with department level leaders, as well as care team members, within departments and/or patient care units to identify, recommend and facilitate ongoing improvement initiatives.

Location: Lowell General Hospital - 295 Varnum Avenue - Lowell, MA

Hours/Shift: 40 hrs Monday - Friday - 8:00am - 4:30pm

Minimum Qualifications

1. Massachusetts RN Licensure

2. Bachelors BSN or BS in health administration, public health

3. Three (3) years of relevant clinical nursing experience

Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

1. Facilitates project teams, including scheduling, agenda preparation, meeting set up and follows up.

2. Manages the complex projects by creating and managing work plans and timelines.

3. Delivers on deadlines.

4. Supports multidisciplinary and inter-professional teams working on high-value projects

5. Analyzes complex financial, quality, and patient satisfaction datasets using spreadsheets and statistical software.

6. Utilizes quality improvement tools such as rapid cycle improvement, Six Sigma, and Lean methods and coaches project teams on the usage of these techniques.

7. Develops and tracks project milestones, performance measures, and dashboards.

8. Collects data from observations, chart reviews, and electronic data sources.

9. Prepares and delivers written and verbal presentations to work teams and leadership groups.

10. Collaborates with clinical and operational leaders to develop, design, describe, deploy, and deliver improvement initiatives.

11. May support department operations as needed.
