Research Charge Capture Specialist

Baptist Health is looking for a Research Charge Capture Specialist to join our team in Lexington, KY

In this role, the specialist performs audit of patient clinical research accounts following Baptist Health policies and procedures along with adherence to government and commercial payer guidelines. Ensures that clinical research charges and coding are supported by the documentation and that the documentation represents the services provided to the patient.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years healthcare experience (registration, patient accounting, financial services, managed care, or a related field) or a college degree (Associates or Bachelors) in a related field and two years healthcare experience. Clinical Research experience preferred, healthcare billing knowledge and experience preferred

• Requires knowledge of Medicare coverage analysis, medical terminology, coding, and payment methodologies including DRG and APC. Individuals working with payer audits must have a keen understanding of all audit response requirements and timelines.
