Position SummaryWe are accepting
applications for this position: Qualified candidates will be responsible for maintaining wood and metal labs
after classes, providing a safe and productive environment for all sculpture
students. Generally, lab monitors ensure that while the labs are kept open,
students adequately clean up after themselves and turn in all unused equipment,
and oversee safe operations of equipment so that accidents can be prevented.

Lab monitors are
responsible for returning all tools to their rightful places. They are entrusted
with opening labs on the weekend and properly locking down labs at the end of
the night. This job provides an excellent opportunity to learn a great deal
beyond sculpture as work studies are more thoroughly instructed on the proper
protocols of lab equipment and safety. Scheduling is flexible.
Minimum Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • Attended and passed ARTS 123, Shop Foundations course, or has good experience with wood and metal labs
  • Preferred sculpture or architecture student
  • Work study qualified preferred (award letter)
