Why do we need you ?

Saint-Gobain is looking for a Construction Market ResearchLead to join the company's building science team. The analyst is responsible for developing deep market understanding on behalf of the team and keeping their "finger on the pulse" of customer needs and market trends. With responsibility for achieving strategic alignment with select businesses, the role features elevated visibility within the Saint-Gobain organization.

Responsibilities



  • Conduct analytical market research and building construction market segmentation in support of both the strategic and tactical needs of the team.
  • Collect Voice of Customer data to identify pain points and expressed & unexpressed needs of targeted customers.
  • Develop profiles of customer personas based on VOC efforts to support new solution development, sales enablement, and marketing activities.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape and disseminate knowledge within the team.
  • Stay abreast of relevant codes, standards, and market trends, and disseminate knowledge.
  • Clearly communicate market research findings to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Contribute to building science team strategy as well as building product systems.
  • Survey training programs, related to building science and/or general workplace training, to inform training programs to be developed internally.
  • Lead program aiming to identify opportunities to develop new products, solutions, and services and perform early-stage assessments in a select business unit. This entails:

    • Aligning with the business on areas of focus
    • Establishing the methodologies to collect and screen ideas
    • Launching projects, following progress, and reporting to stakeholders

  • Knowledge of construction and building science concepts (IEQ, IAQ, hygrothermal transfer, waterproofing, durability).
  • Ability to conduct rigorous and detailed analyses without losing sight of the big picture, appropriately make tradeoffs, prioritize work, and execute.
  • Strong ability to manipulate data using Excel, Python, or other programming language.
  • Ability to synthesize and compellingly communicate analysis for both highly technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Decisive, action-oriented attitude

Is this job for you ?

  • Bachelor of Science in architectural engineering, architecture, construction management, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related fields, with 7+ years of experience in the building construction or building material industry with product management and/or market research responsibilities or
  • Master of Science in related fields with 3+ years building construction or building material industry with product management and/or market research responsibilities.
  • Up to 20 % travel.
