Cook

The Lutheran Home of Belle Plaine is actively seeking to add a part-time cook/assistant cook to our dietary team. There is a specific need for afternoon shifts (1:00pm-7:00pm). Successful candidate will be able to pick up additional shifts as they become available.

This person will be responsible for:

• Preparing, serving & delivering of food and beverages as directed.
• Monitor & maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work area.
• Operate dishwasher throughout shift. Wash dishes, pots, pans, coffee urns, glasses and flatware.
• Help ensure all food is labeled, dated and stored properly.
• Remove outdated food items. Help ensure all equipment is turned off.
• Restock items that were depleted or used during the shift.
• Clean kitchen and equipment.
• Transport food and beverages to neighborhoods when requested.
