What to Expect

Tesla's Gigafactory Nevada Workplace team is seeking a Workplace Design Specialist to support site priority projects. The role focuses on graphic design, visual communication, and the look and feel of the workplace. It does not involve interior design, architecture, or space planning. You will shape the on-site brand experience through environmental graphics, wayfinding, signage, and visual systems. These improve clarity, safety, and culture across one of the world's most advanced manufacturing environments.

You will work with Workplace Strategy, Communications, Facilities, EHS, and Operations teams. Together you will bring Tesla's brand language to life in industrial and administrative spaces. The assets you design must be durable, functional, and visually consistent, and must support rapid production scaling.

The Workplace Team's mission is to create an environment where our high-performing teams can realize their true potential. Our team aligns around three pillars: Design, Build, and Operate. We optimize the space we have, find the best solutions for immediate expansion needs, and drive our long-term strategy - all guided by the principle of sustainability.

What You'll Do
  • Lead visual experience projects independently and support large site initiatives with branded environmental graphics, wayfinding, and signage
  • Design wayfinding, operational zone identification, and cultural branding elements that improve navigation, compliance, and team connection
  • Develop 2D and 3D graphic layouts for walls, floors, equipment, and structures using Adobe Creative Suite and visualization tools
  • Translate global brand standards into site-specific applications built for industrial durability and operational clarity
  • Partner with EHS, Facilities, and Operations to ensure visual communications meet safety, accessibility (ADA signage), and production requirements
  • Manage graphic assets from concept through vendor production, installation, and field validation
  • Maintain a centralized digital library of approved templates, brand assets, and as-installed documentation

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in environmental graphics, experiential design, or brand activation, preferably in industrial or large-scale environments
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), including file prep for large-format print and digital displays
  • Experience designing for durable materials and demanding environments, such as manufacturing floors, outdoor exposure, and high-traffic zones
  • Understanding of ADA guidelines as they apply to signage, including typography, contrast, mounting height, and tactile requirements
  • Project management skills, including managing timelines, vendors, and stakeholder feedback in fast-moving operational settings
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once and travel occasionally to other Tesla sites for rollout support
