Records Storage and Documentation Specialist

Location:Raleigh, NC
Schedule/Shift: 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
Pay:$21.50 per hour

Job Summary

The Records Storage and Documentation Specialist supports a records-management project by organizing, preparing, documenting, and securely storing records and office materials. The role requires strong attention to detail, accurate documentation, confidentiality, and the ability to follow established records-handling and workplace-safety procedures. Responsibilities may also include clearing file cabinets and packing office items for relocation or storage.

Job Responsibilities



  • Organize and prepare documents for secure off-site storage.
  • Assemble, label, and organize records-storage boxes according to established requirements.
  • Complete and maintain accurate box documentation and inventory records.
  • Match documentation to the appropriate storage containers.
  • Maintain organized records of completed boxes and designated storage locations.
  • Assist with clearing file cabinets and packing office materials for storage or relocation.
  • Safely handle, move, and organize records, boxes, and office items.
  • Communicate project status, completed work, and issues to appropriate team members.
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive records and information.
  • Perform repetitive, detail-oriented tasks while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
  • Follow established records-management, handling, and workplace-safety procedures.
  • Wear required protective equipment when working with stored documents or in dusty environments.

  • Basic computer, email, copying, and documentation skills.
