The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

The Secretary in the Operating Room is responsible for coordinating and accurately recording OR bookings, communicating and coordinating with physician's offices and departments throughout the hospital. You will work closely with patients, physicians, and staff to schedule appointments, maintain accurate patient information, communicate scheduling details, and help ensure patients receive timely and coordinated care.

As Secretary, a typical day might include the following:

• Greeting patients, visitors, and staff with professionalism, warmth, and courtesy
• Answering phones professionally, recording messages and forwarding calls to appropriate parties and scheduling OR bookings
• Filing patient information in a timely fashion,

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Preferably with clerical experience in health care and medical terminology. Knowledgeable with Microsoft Office and proficient computer skills. Familiarity with office equipment such as copiers and fax machines. Must demonstrate willingness to learn.

This is a Full-time, evening position.
