WHAT YOU'LL DO In this role, you will be responsible for the process optimization of technicalmanufacturingoperations, including machining and material movement. You will facilitate change management utilizing Lean methodologies such as 5S. You will create and audit standard work instructions and assist in capacity planning for assigned value streams. If you have experience in manufacturing process improvement,andunderstand lean manufacturingprinciples, we'd love to hear from you! Key responsibilities include:
- Work withtheOperations team to make operational adjustments as necessary,to ensure continued growth in productivity and efficiency,by reviewingKPIsdaily.
- Create andmodifywork routers and bills of materials.
- Document standardwork to include creation of work instructions,recordingand analyzing cycle times, and value stream mapping.
- Initiate, manage, and lead large, complex technical improvement projects.
- Collaborate to plan and implement the layouts oftheplant, and production equipmentin order toprovide the maximumutilizationof facilities,andtheefficiency of production.
- Applylean principles tooptimizework/process flow,to include reducing machineset-upand changeovertimes(SMED).
- Investigate, and implementnew technologiesto digitalizeand automateproduct manufacturing and machine connectivitywithin the plant.
- Implement the digital factory process across theorganization.
- Leverage the company's ERP system (Syteline) to analyze manufacturing data.
- Initiate and lead kaizen and value stream mappingevents andapply lean manufacturing principles tooptimizework/process flow, to include reducing machine set-up and changeover times (SMED).
- Positively influence personnel during processchanges andsuccessfullymanage that change.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Bachelor's degree inMechanical Engineering or related.
- 2+ years' manufacturing operations engineering experience.
- Practical knowledge of continuousimprovement practices and formal problem-solvingmethodologies.
- Proficiencyin Microsoft Office toolsasneeded to create spreadsheets,standard work instructions,and other documents.
- Experienceincreatingwork routers and bills of material.
- Experience in successfully leading projectswith cross-functional teams.

- Babbitting technology knowledge.
- CNC and manual machining experience.
- Experience withthe manufacturing ofbearings and seals forcompressors and turbines or related products.
- Experience with custom engineered components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
