Creative & Marketing Operations Specialist

sick time
United States, New York
Sep 14, 2026
Overview

Placement Type:

Temporary

Salary:

$42.83-47.59 Hourly

up to $48/HR

Start Date:

Sep 28, 2026

Four and a half months, fully remote, and you walk straight into the center of a major retail brand's marketing engine. This is a maternity leave cover, which means the work is already built, the team already trusts the seat, and you get to run it.

You will sit at the intersection of Creative, Marketing leadership, Brand Operations, Production, and the EA team. Every campaign, photoshoot, and launch on the calendar moves through you. If you are someone who likes owning the machinery rather than watching it from the outside, this is a clean, high-visibility stretch of work with a defined start and finish.

Short assignment, real ownership, and a marquee retail brand on your resume.

What You'll Own

This role is the owner of the Creative and Marketing operating model, milestone planning process, and enterprise scheduling infrastructure.

  • Own, manage, and maintain marketing calendars, project timelines, and operational planning tools
  • Run daily maintenance of Outlook planners and Smartsheet reporting so everything stays aligned to the operating model
  • Schedule Marketing and Creative team meetings
  • Coordinate and schedule Marketing leadership and cross-functional meetings with brand stakeholder alignment
  • Spot scheduling conflicts, process gaps, and timing risks before they land, and bring the fix with you
  • Manage attendee documentation and keep planners current
  • Facilitate recurring meetings and partner cross-functionally to drive calendar alignment on organizational priorities and executive milestones
  • Hold the line on efficient operational workflow and support a culture of continuous improvement
  • Regularly assess operations to find efficiencies in day-to-day workflow
  • Support planning activities and process improvements that drive visibility across the org
  • Ad hoc process documentation and project management support

A Typical Day

Coordinating with stakeholders, managing schedules and planning tools, tracking key milestones, and proactively clearing issues so timelines hold.

What You Bring

  • 3-6 years of experience in marketing operations, project management, or a closely related function
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Strong project management and operations skills
  • Experience coordinating complex schedules and working across cross-functional teams
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and an independent thinker
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and sound judgment
  • Proven presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly when direction and priority shift in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Outlook, Smartsheet, Excel, SharePoint, and InDesign

Preferred:

  • Previous marketing operations experience
  • Previous fashion or retail experience

What Makes a Candidate Stand Out

  • You have supported senior leaders or large cross-functional teams and can speak confidently about managing competing priorities
  • You own calendars and meeting governance, not just meeting invites. You think in terms of conflicts, sequencing, and decision-making
  • You can point to specific times you caught an error, prevented a problem, or improved a process
  • You are organized but flexible, and you pivot cleanly when priorities move

Culture fit: Self-starter, proactive about finding solutions, thoughtful collaborator, clear communicator. Low ego, high impact, focused on outcomes. Comfortable and confident operating behind the scenes in a coordination and support capacity.
