Description

Leidos has opportunities for an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale, complex technology migration initiatives spanning enterprise endpoints, network infrastructure, and related IT services. This role will be responsible for planning and executing high-impact migration programs across multiple business units, locations, technology platforms, and stakeholder groups.

The ideal candidate is a strong delivery leader with demonstrated experience managing large-scale endpoint, network, infrastructure, or data center migration programs. The Project Manager will coordinate cross-functional technical teams, vendors, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure migrations are executed safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to business operations.

This role requires exceptional organizational and communication skills, strong technical fluency, disciplined project governance, and the ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams in a highly complex enterprise environment.

Key Responsibilities


  • Lead end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale endpoint and network migration programs, from strategy and discovery through implementation, validation, and operational handoff.

  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans covering scope, schedule, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate multiple technical workstreams, including endpoint engineering, network engineering, infrastructure, security, identity, application teams, service desk, field support, and vendors.

  • Establish migration waves, deployment schedules, readiness criteria, cutover plans, rollback procedures, and post-migration validation processes.

  • Manage migrations involving large populations of users, devices, offices, network sites, applications, and infrastructure components.

  • Drive project execution across geographically distributed locations and potentially multiple time zones.

  • Identify critical dependencies and proactively resolve risks and issues that could impact migration timelines, business operations, or user experience.

  • Establish and manage project governance, including status reporting, steering committee meetings, RAID logs, action tracking, and executive communications.

  • Partner with technical leads to ensure migration designs, implementation plans, testing strategies, and operational procedures are sufficiently mature before deployment.

  • Coordinate change management and communications activities to ensure impacted users and business stakeholders are prepared for migration events.

  • Manage vendor and third-party deliverables, schedules, commitments, and performance.

  • Track project financials, resource requirements, procurement needs, and vendor costs where applicable.

  • Lead cutover and command-center activities for high-risk or business-critical migration events.

  • Monitor migration performance and operational metrics, including deployment progress, success rates, incidents, defects, rollback events, and outstanding remediation.

  • Ensure appropriate documentation, knowledge transfer, and transition to operational support teams following each migration wave.

  • Escalate critical risks and decisions appropriately and provide clear recommendations to senior leadership.

  • Continuously improve migration processes, templates, governance, and execution methodologies based on lessons learned.



Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline , and 12+ years experience .

  • 7+ years of project management experience, preferably within enterprise IT infrastructure or technology transformation environments.

  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale endpoint, network, infrastructure, workplace technology, or similar migration programs.

  • Experience managing complex projects involving multiple technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and geographically distributed environments.

  • Strong understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including endpoints, networking, identity, security, infrastructure, cloud, and IT operations.

  • Proven experience developing and managing detailed project plans, migration schedules, dependencies, risks, issues, and resource plans.

  • Experience managing complex cutovers, deployment waves, go/no-go decisions, and rollback planning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with standard project management methodologies and tools.



Preferred Qualifications


  • PMP, PgMP, or equivalent project/program management certification.

  • Experience leading migrations involving thousands or tens of thousands of endpoints and/or hundreds of network locations.

  • Experience with enterprise endpoint management and deployment technologies such as Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager/SCCM, Autopilot, Jamf, or equivalent platforms.
  • Experience with network transformation or migration initiatives involving LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, wireless, routing/switching, VPN, or network modernization.

  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, identity modernization, or cloud migration programs.

  • Experience working within large enterprise, highly regulated, or geographically distributed organizations.

  • Familiarity with ITIL-based service management and operational transition processes.

  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.

  • Experience using tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent project management platforms.
