Description

Responsibilities:



  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and welcoming attitude toward all external and internal guests at all times.
  • Delegate authority and assign responsibilities and work schedules to department staff.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to Revenue Accounting department.
  • Prepare and post revenue journal entries for all revenues and comp and coupon expenses.
  • Assist with reconciliation of general ledger.
  • Ensure timely, complete, and correct reporting of all revenue and associated gaming taxes.
  • Prepare weekly gaming tax returns.
  • Maintain tracking records for all revenue.
  • Prepare for and participate in audits.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, developing, and evaluating department staff.
  • Recommend and administer disciplinary action as necessary.
  • Timely communicate all Revenue Accounting issues.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial information, operating systems, company policies and procedures, marketing plans, and team member and guest information.
  • Prepare and deliver reports as needed.
  • Have complete knowledge of all casino events and promotional activities.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all guests and team members.
  • Comply with all policies and procedures established by Casino and department management.
  • Other duties as assigned or any reasonable request from any member of management.

Qualifications
Experience
Accurately perform all assigned job duties in a high-volume, fast-paced environment under frequent time pressures (preferred)
Communicate appropriately with all casino guests, casino departments, and fellow team members. (preferred)
Must be able to work any necessary hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays. (preferred)
Appropriate use of office equipment, including personal computer, telephone with voice mail system, fax machine, and copy machine. (preferred)
Must obtain and maintain Louisisana Gaming Commission occupational license. (preferred)
Gaming industry experience is strongly preferred. (preferred)
A 2-year degree in a finance- or accounting-related field, at least 2 years of experience in finance or accounting, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. (preferred)
