Salary: $165,000-185,000 Salary
Aquent is partnering with a pioneering organization dedicated to empowering individuals and businesses through innovative digital solutions. This company is at the forefront of leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance user experiences and streamline complex processes, making a tangible difference in people's lives by connecting them with essential services. They are committed to continuous evolution, always looking to the future of product design and the transformative power of emerging tools. Are you ready to redefine digital experiences and drive innovation at a pivotal moment? We are seeking a highly skilled and forward-thinking individual to spearhead the design strategy for critical provider-facing solutions. This is more than just crafting interfaces; it's about pioneering how technology, especially AI, can empower service providers, optimize workflows, and deliver unparalleled support to users navigating crucial decisions. You will be instrumental in shaping new paradigms for user interaction and business efficiency, making a profound impact on both our partners' growth and the well-being of the communities they serve. What You'll Do
- Own end-to-end product design for provider workstreams, from initial discovery and journey mapping through prototyping and production-ready designs. This encompasses solutions for service providers, partner workflows, lead quality, conversion acceleration, account growth, and operational capabilities that enhance user support.
- Translate complex marketplace, partnership, and operational challenges into intuitive and efficient workflows for both internal teams and external users.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Research, Marketing, Operations, Sales, and business leaders to frame problems, establish success criteria, evaluate tradeoffs, and scope releases effectively.
- Design workflows with a keen focus on trust, clarity, speed, and usability, ensuring users receive accurate information and can confidently take next steps.
- Leverage diverse inputs including research, analytics, service provider conversations, partner feedback, frontline team insights, product data, and broader business context to inform and guide every design decision.
- Proactively identify high-leverage opportunities where enhanced service provider workflows can significantly improve customer outcomes and business performance.
- Articulate design rationale clearly and persuasively to product teams, engineering partners, marketing partners, operational stakeholders, and senior leadership.
- Ensure teams understand not only what should be launched, but the strategic importance and impact behind it.
- Apply and extend shared design patterns to ensure a coherent and consistent experience across all product surfaces.
- Differentiate between design needs specific to service providers and broader, reusable system patterns.
- Contribute to foundational design elements, including interaction patterns, information architecture, accessibility standards, UX writing, and overall craft quality.
- Mentor and elevate the design team through insightful critiques, fostering pattern quality, and strong product storytelling, without direct people-management responsibilities.
- Embrace a builder's mindset, utilizing lightweight prototypes, AI-assisted workflows, and agile experiments to bring ideas to life earlier in the development cycle.
- Experiment with cutting-edge AI tools to explore new product directions, prototype workflows, synthesize complex inputs, pressure-test assumptions, and enhance the speed and quality of design work.
- Guide the team in understanding where AI truly enhances user experience versus where human judgment, trust, and clarity remain paramount, sharing learnings to foster collective growth.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 7+ years of product design experience working on complex web platforms, SaaS applications, marketplace solutions, CRM systems, internal tools, partner portals, or operations-facing products.
- A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end ownership from ambiguous problem framing through to successfully shipped products, including work that demonstrably influenced product strategy or elevated design quality across multiple initiatives.
- Exceptional interaction design skills, systems thinking, information architecture expertise, and sound product judgment.
- Demonstrated curiosity and practical, hands-on experimentation with AI tools within the design or product development process.
- The ability to articulate not just what you designed, but the strategic "how" - detailing your use of evidence, tools, prototypes, constraints, and judgment to arrive at optimal solutions.
- Proven experience thriving in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where ownership, pragmatism, and cross-functional trust are critical.
- Strong proficiency in leading design software and the ability to effectively communicate design intent through detailed flows, interactive prototypes, clear specifications, and compelling design storytelling.
- Comfort and proven ability in deep collaboration with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, Marketing, operational stakeholders, Sales, and senior leaders to align teams around a clear design vision.
