As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Technician in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication to students, staff, and visitors. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observed activity and communicating with school personnel and first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, verify access permissions when required, and report suspicious behavior, unsecured doors, and/or other security-related concerns.
• Support arrival, dismissal, and special event activities by helping manage foot traffic, observing campus grounds, and following post orders related to student and visitor interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Possess a Level III Armed Certification for Texas only.
• Possess 5 or more years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
