North Hollywood, CA M-F 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM (day shift) Pay: $23-$24/hr Workplace type: Onsite A busy dermatology clinic is hiring a medical assistant to support patient flow, assist with procedures, and handle both front and back office responsibilities. This is a great fit for someone detail-oriented, hands-on, and comfortable in a fast-paced setting. Summary You'll support dermatology providers by rooming patients, performing intake, assisting with skin exams and minor procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation in the EHR. You'll also help educate patients on skincare, treatments, and follow-up care. Key Responsibilities * Escort Patients To Exam Rooms And Assist With Visit Prep * Perform Patient Intake (Vitals, Medical History, Documentation) * Assist Providers With Dermatology Procedures (Biopsies, Cryotherapy, Injections, etc.) * Enter And Update Patient Information In EHR Systems * Support Patient Flow And Clinic Efficiency * Handle Appointment Scheduling And Insurance Verification * Educate Patients On Skincare, Treatment Plans, And Post-Procedure Care * Complete Follow-Up Tasks And Coordinate Care As Needed * Provide Light Scribing And Documentation Support Top Skills - Must Haves * EHR / EMR Experience * Patient Intake (Vitals, Rooming) * Strong Patient Care & Communication * Appointment Scheduling * Insurance Verification NiceToHave Skills * Dermatology Experience * Procedure Assisting (Biopsies, Injections, etc.) * Scribing Experience * Ambulatory / Outpatient Experience * Care Coordination Exposure Work Environment * Onsite Dermatology Clinic * Fast-Paced With High Patient Volume * Mix Of Front And Back Office Responsibilities * Team-Oriented Clinical Environment Why This Role Matters This Position Is Critical To Supporting Dermatology Providers And Ensuring A Smooth, Efficient Patient Experience.
