OVERVIEW:

The Director of Sales Development will drive sales performance and organizational growth by designing, implementing, and leading training programs for the sales team. This role focuses on improving sales effectiveness, strengthening customer engagement, and aligning training initiatives with business objectives.

Important: This position requires extensive travel (50-60%), including field ride-alongs with Account Executives, branch support, and a strong focus on Western markets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Develop and deliver sales training programs through workshops, field coaching, and ride-alongs.
  • Partner with Sales, HR, and leadership teams to align training strategies with business goals.
  • Mentor Account Executives to strengthen sales techniques, customer relationships, and performance.
  • Leverage technology to track, scale, and improve training effectiveness across multiple locations.
  • Create tools, resources, and evaluation methods to support consistent sales growth.


QUALIFICATIONS:



  • Prior sales experience required.
  • 2+ years of training, coaching, or employee development experience preferred.
  • Flooring product and installation knowledge required.
  • Strong strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.
