Overview

The Assistant Loan Operations Manager works closely with the Director of Loan Operations to oversee the daily workflow, ensure accuracy in Loan Processing, and maintain high standards of internal and external customer satisfaction. The Assistant Loan Operations Manager will assist in planning, organizing, motivating, and controlling the overall function of Loan Operations for the Bank.

Responsibilities

    Supervise assigned employees in Loan Operations including, but not limited to:
    • Interviewing
    • Hiring
    • Training and development
    • Planning, assigning and directing workflow
    • Annual evaluations
    • Recommend job promotions and increases
    • Administering disciplining action when needed
    • Address complaints and resolving problems
  • Ensure Loan Operations staff are in adherence to policy and procedures, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Ensure that proper Loan Processing Systems are in place and used to maximize efficiency
  • Analyze existing operations procedures to maximize bank asset quality while remaining efficient and cost effective in carrying out the same
  • Recommend changes in operational procedures when needed, and further plans, and administer implementation of the same
  • Assist with the overall performance review of the Loan Operations function on an ongoing basis to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established standards, bank policy and procedures and general sound banking standards
  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent years of directly related experience will be considered)
  • Minimum of 2 years of job related experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to draft reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Advanced knowledge of all aspects of Loan Operations
  • Advanced knowledge of bank policies and procedures regarding all lending functions
  • Advanced knowledge of Federal laws and banking regulations involving bank operations, personnel, security, interest rates, etc.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with department personnel
  • Ability to lead and instill confidence in others

Employees may be exposed to confidential and propriety information within the working environment, therefore, must uphold confidentiality at all times.
