Atos Medical has an immediate opening for a Contract Credentialing Specialist.

Summary

This Contract Credentialing Specialist will primarily be responsible for maintaining the good standing for our government-funded (Medicaid) contracts. They will assist in updating all required compliance items to ensure there are no disruptions to billing or patient services.

Essential Functions



  • Manage the administrative duties for all government-funded and commercial payer accounts (web portal access, demographic updates, licensure updates and renewals)
  • Manage the administrative duties for all company issued licenses and state certifications/registrations
  • Process and complete any credentialing/re-credentialing applications for all government-funded health plans; monitor the applications and follow-up as needed
  • Assist the Contract & Credentialing Manager with any applications or credentialing initiatives for the commercial contracts and health plans
  • Maintain compliance with all Federal, State and local regulations as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Manage and update the list of contracted health plans and payers for our external venders/distributors, physician partners and Coloplast owners
  • Maintain and update any contract-related reference sheets, job aids, tracking sheets and reference guides as well as assisting leadership with distributing any companywide internal FYI communications regarding new payer contracts or policy changes
  • Assist with any other assignments or duties as requested

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn and navigate new systems and technologies
  • Able to understand, interpret, and follow complex instructions while making sound decisions to complete tasks accurately
  • Demonstrates adaptability and maintains composure in high-pressure situations, including managing heavy workloads and tight deadlines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization
  • Able to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, building strong working relationships to achieve shared goals
  • Effectively prioritizes work and manages time to meet deadlines and objectives
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative and work independently to achieve goals
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while maintaining quality and efficiency


Basic Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the business field (within the last 5 years)



Preferred Qualifications



  • 1+ year of Medical Credentialing and Licensing experience (within the last 24 months)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
