Position Summary:
Looking for a candidate with a good bit of lab experience who has been around molding equipment, has a decent math perspective and has injection molding processing background. Generate and/or evaluate samples in the laboratory according to, instructions to support development, product quality control, and, process research & development programs under the supervision of the lab, leader.

job description:
- Hands-on technical laboratory support for Advanced Processing, Applications Engineering, Field Technical Service and Product Technology.
- Under supervision, carry out and support advanced molding, sample molding, extrusion, and thermoforming trials.
- Under supervision, carry out and support application engineering finished part and sample performance testing.
- Carry out basic component/material investigation tests including TnP, compatibility, optical, melt flow, other.
- Under supervision, carry out joining trials using hot plate welding, ultra-sonic welding, screw testing and adhesive bonding.
- Completes assigned technical projects independently or as a team member with moderate supervision.
- Completes basic reports utilizing Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Implements established technical procedures and protocols to effectively and efficiently conduct technical experimentation.
- With moderate guidance set up Application Lab equipment to conduct performance testing.
- Conduct routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
- Assists in installation of new equipment and writing of operating procedures.
- Housekeeping, warehousing and safety tasks as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications of the Candidate:
* Degree preferred, bachelor or associates degree.
* Generate and/or evaluate lab-scale samples, testing for customer, technical programs, process and product research programs and, manufacturing support and provide relevant information for further, decisions
* Troubleshoot and maintain equipment needed for production and, routine processing & property evaluation and supporting machine scale-up,work
* Maintain appropriate logs/notebooks and other records including, computer documents
* Provide internet and other information searches as needed for, problem solving
* Perform stoichiometric calculations for production using computer, programs or hand-calculations
* Understand and follow EHS, SOPs and Responsible Care rules, regulations and guidelines maintaining a safe work Environment
* Capable of managing multiple tasks, working effectively with more, than one technical supervisor, interfacing with other functions such as, manufacturing and research personnel, interfacing directly with, customers if needed, and providing timely results to assure the quality, of products shipped to customers
