Description and Requirements

The Custom Fulfillment Services Engineer is responsible for supporting Lenovo's Custom Fulfillment Services (CFS) operations by implementing, validating, and troubleshooting customer-specific device configurations and deployment solutions. This role works closely with Operations, Program Management, Sales, and Customers to ensure devices are configured, provisioned, and delivered according to customer requirements and Lenovo quality standards. The CFS Engineer serves as a technical resource for provisioning, imaging, BIOS configuration, asset tagging, device enrollment, software deployment, and customer onboarding activities.


This position is full-time, five days a week at our Whitsett, NC location.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Configuration & Deployment

  • Configure and validate customer-specific device requirements.
  • Support provisioning, imaging, software installation, and operating system deployment activities.
  • Configure BIOS settings, firmware updates, and device customization requirements.
  • Validate customer instructions and ensure production readiness prior to deployment.

Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, imaging, and provisioning issues.
  • Support root cause analysis for production and customer-related issues.
  • Work with internal engineering and support teams to resolve technical problems.
  • Assist Operations with technical escalations impacting production schedules.

Device Management & Enrollment

  • Support Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, Azure AD enrollment, and other endpoint management solutions.
  • Validate device registration and enrollment processes.
  • Support asset tagging, laser etching, and customer-specific identification requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with customer security and deployment standards.

Production & Operational Support

  • Provide technical support to daily production operations.
  • Assist with high-priority customer orders and deployment projects.
  • Verify customer configurations before release to production.
  • Support testing and validation of new customer solutions and services.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Create and maintain customer work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures and known solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, and operational processes.
  • Support implementation of new tools, technologies, and services.


Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting PCs, laptops, mobile devices, or enterprise deployments.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems and device configuration.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, or similar endpoint management tools.
  • Knowledge of BIOS configuration, hardware diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in fulfillment, integration, manufacturing, or deployment services.
  • Experience supporting enterprise customers.
  • Knowledge of Lenovo commercial products.
  • Experience with scripting or automation tools.
  • Understanding of supply chain, logistics, or production operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
