We are looking for a Network Administrator with deep expertise in cloud networking, AWS cloud infrastructure, and VPN technologies. This role sits at the intersection of networking and cloud engineering, with a primary focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, high-performance network architectures across hybrid and cloud-native environments.
You will work heavily with the network layer of enterprise customer environments - from VPN tunnels and transit gateways to DNS, firewall policies, and traffic routing - while applying DevOps principles of automation, observability, and infrastructure as code throughout. Success in this role requires strong ownership, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to automation, reliability, and security best practices.
A Typical Day in the Life Includes:
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise network architectures across AWS and hybrid environments
- Manage and troubleshoot complex networking components including VPNs (site-to-site and client), Direct Connect, routing, and firewall configurations
- Monitor network performance (latency, throughput, packet loss) and lead incident response and root cause analysis for outages
- Architect and operate AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, load balancers, DNS), ensuring security, scalability, and reliability
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code and automation (Terraform, CloudFormation, CI/CD pipelines) to improve efficiency and consistency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to optimize network performance, enhance security posture, and support production environments
Basic Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with AWS networking, including VPC, subnetting, and basic connectivity (VPN, routing
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls, and common network protocols
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN solutions (site-to-site and/or client VPN) in production environments
- Experience troubleshooting network issues using tools such as tcpdump, traceroute, mtr, or Wireshark
- Experience supporting enterprise network environments, including exposure to third-party networking hardware (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto)
- Demonstrated ability to support customer-facing environments, including communicating issues and handling escalations professionally
- Must be willing to work 3 days per week in the office
- Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS Advanced Networking Specialty or Solutions Architect Professional certification
- Familiarity with zero-trust network architectures and SASE frameworks
- Experience with multi-region or global network architectures
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS) as they relate to network controls
