Inside the Role The Receiving Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound material flow, shipment tracking, receiving documentation, inventory transactions, and supplier compliance activities to support uninterrupted production operations. This position serves as the primary point of contact for receiving-related activities and provides backup support to Planning & Logistics and Procurement teams as needed to ensure continuity of supply chain operations.

Position offers a starting salary range of$25/hr. - $32/hr. USD

What You Drive at DTNA Receiving & Material Control
Coordinate and track inbound and outbound shipments, including critical and expedited deliveries. Process and maintain purchase orders, invoices, debits, chargebacks, and material transfer (MT) transactions. Monitor freight shortages, investigate discrepancies, file freight claims, and coordinate resolution with carriers and planners. Manage ASN (Advance Shipping Notice) compliance, including non-compliance tracking and chargeback administration. Maintain receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, transfer paperwork, and shipment records. Locate and verify incoming materials, support dock operations, and ensure proper material routing. Monitor air freight activity and maintain shipment tracking records. Support inventory accuracy through transaction processing and audit compliance activities. Generate and maintain receiving reports, including past-due and weekly transfer reports.
Backup Support - Planning & Logistics
Purchase piece parts for truck modifications utilizing SAP, Paragon, P Card and IMS. Review shortage lists, daily report and SR to prioritize and expedite missing commodities. Maintain forecast and work with Plant controlled vendors and Gastonia PMP to improve delivery timing and meet on-time delivery commitments. Open Material Transfers (MTs) from various TMP locations based on quotes/requirements. Provide materials support to shop floor team leaders and supervisors. Review inventory management system to ensure sufficient on-hand quantities of parts and reorder as needed. Work stock replenishment system (update reason codes and answers). Create vendor Charge Backs. Review and order parts due to spec changes. Control excess inventory and process material disposition analysis. Process work orders for Parts Distribution Center (PDC) and truck requirements. Work with Accounts Payable and vendor to ensure timely payments, and to clear vendor debits. Assist Corporate LCM group with materials requirements for upcoming Changeover & PreSeries. Review and expedite Major components. Assist CAE with Mt Holly TMP schedule, string of pearls, plant constraints.
Core Functions/Duties
Process purchasing, receiving, material transfer, invoice, debit, and chargeback transactions. Coordinate inbound/outbound shipments, expedited deliveries, and freight tracking. Manage receiving documentation, ASN compliance, and shipment records. Past Due and Weekly Transfer reports. Investigate freight discrepancies, process claims, and generate receiving reports.
Knowledge You Should Bring
High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three (3) years of materials, purchasing, logistics, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment; OR an Associate's Degree with a minimum of one (1) year of related experience. Experience in receiving, inventory control, logistics, supply chain, procurement, or manufacturing operations. Working knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP or IMS. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Teams. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Flexibility to work second shift as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with transportation coordination, material planning, and procurement support. Knowledge of ASN compliance processes, freight claims management, inventory transactions, and supplier compliance programs. Experience supporting production-focused manufacturing operations.
