Overview

The role of the Busser is ensuring our guests receive a positive and memorable experience in our dining areas. This is accomplished by setting and clearing the tables, and assisting servers with table service to ensure guest satisfaction.



Responsibilities

    Quickly clear dirty table wipe it with moist towel or rag for resetting. Promptly and consistently reset all service-ware as prescribed.
  • Read meal tickets and deliver food appropriately to tables based on meal ticket.
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of stations for all meal periods with necessary equipment including silverware, linen and condiments.
  • Serve guests with beverages, breads and butter to begin their dining experience and replenish as necessary.
  • Transport all dirty tableware from dining room to dishwashing area for proper cleaning.


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware.
  • Ability to do the same task over and over, frequently in the same way.
  • Great Customer service skills and be courteous with the guest and staff.
  • Requires interaction with people as relates to attending to needs, requests or the expressed or implicit wishes of people. Immediate response is required.
  • A current food handlers' card for the State of Hawaii
  • Current TB Clearance
  • Patience, tact and diplomacy.
  • Requires lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to understand verbal English to comprehend basic guest requests.
  • Work as a productive team member by contributing positive energy.
  • Perform the duties of the position in a safe manner.
  • Be professional in all interactions with guests and associates.
