Summary

The Senior Manager Parts Supply Chain is responsible for leading Warehouse and Parts Counter functions within the Carolina CAT network. This role will partner with Demand Planning & Inventory Control teams and supporting functional areas to help Carolina CAT achieve its objectives for the key performance indicators of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost performance.

Essential Functions

  • Oversee the development and implementation of the overarching strategies for Warehouse and Parts Counter functions.
  • Prioritize safety through personal work habits, empowerment and accountability with all employees and ensures safe working conditions are maintained.
  • Provide strategic insights, analysis, and planning to continually optimize the distribution network with respect to warehouse operations and logistics.
  • Build balanced multi-shift staffing plans using operational, sales, call center and productivity data.
  • Understand and leverage WMS, DBS, SIS and BI tools to facilitate data driven solutioning and decision making.
  • Monitor and analyze parts counter metrics between abandonment rate, transfer rate, occupancy rate, peak hour traffic etc. to ensure all counter and call center employee hours are accounted for and proper staffing levels maintained.
  • Designs and executes customer and brand focused retail stores while maintaining inventory accuracy.
  • Promote an environment of continuous improvement by monitoring business practices and procedures, identifying areas of improvement, and act accordingly to implement improved practices.
  • Deliver best-in-class external and internal customer experience through daily execution and leveraging tactics like eCommerce and enhanced delivery services.
  • Drive daily collaboration between Warehouse and Parts counter functions to improve the customer experience.
  • Build and manage effective operations scorecard to ensure customer experience, service and financial metrics are met.
  • Ensure strong internal controls exist and are operating effectively.
  • Coach employees on cross-functional relationships, train and evaluate employees to enhance their performance and personal growth, foster communication and teamwork across the organization.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends to develop innovative solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

  • Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related bachelor's degree required or equivalent education and experience with 7 - 10+ years of direct experience in the field.
  • Possess active knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, logistics, and supply chain networks.
  • Demonstrated leadership, results delivery, and management skills.
  • Ability to make rational decisions based on facts and experienced intuition.
  • Must exhibit detail orientation and ability to execute and manage many priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in the following environment preferable:
    • Strong experience with Construction Industry
    • Aftermarket, Distribution experience
    • OEM, Dealer/Distributor relationship
    • Call center or over the counter sales

The noise level in some work environments is occasionally loud.
