Position description

The Program Coordinator will support the overall growth and development

of the UC Center for Climate Justice. Reporting to the Center's Director,

they will be responsible for managing a variety of administrative operations

and multiple program activities including administering all finance, human

resources and facilities and other operational activities; scheduling and

organizing meetings, document and information management, gathering

background materials, monitoring expenditures/transactions, developing

budgets and reports. The Program Coordinator must ensure the

implementation of the policies and practices of the Center. They will

coordinate and manage the Center's events (both virtually and in person).

They will coauthor and help organize information for potential funders and

grants to support the Center's research, education, and outreach. The

Program Coordinator will develop and manage content for communications

through media relations, social media, website, etc. They will also serve

as a liaison between the Center and campus contracts and grants office in

budgeting and preparation of grant proposals.

The Program Coordinator must be self-motivated, organized and detail oriented,

comfortable working with diverse teams and be able to receive

and incorporate constructive feedback from a variety of stakeholders.

They must be tech-savvy, have excellent communication skills, and have
