SUMMARY
Responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the contracting needs across all ACG Individual Medical business units.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees and manages the timely onboarding and enablement of contracts for downline agencies.
Manages agency lifecycles (e.g., including terminations, state changes, etc.), and resolves exceptions as they arise.
Manages agent contracting inquiries and communication across designated channels and ensures accuracy and timeliness of responses.
Integrates multiple contracting teams into one across multiple entities, and defines shared and unique processes (e.g., brokerage offices, retail offices, carrier invitations, etc.).
Manages agent portal to enable contracting across all entities and carriers.
Manages CRM updates and maintains accountability for contracting systems of record.
Approves contracting procedures/desk manuals for carriers and product lines.
Develops and leads contracting training initiatives.
Identifies opportunities for efficiency in contracting processes, working with BPO, automation, and AI solutions.
Sets up commission levels at contracting stage.
Manages talent in the contracting team and defines organizational needs and staffs accordingly.
Responsible for hiring/terminating, disciplinary actions, assigning/checking work, plan/appraise job results, annual performance reviews, compensation recommendations, coordinating scheduling needs; new hire orientation and training.
Manages contracting compliance and quality.
Develops, monitors and reports on KPIs.
Provides strategic, policy and operational leadership.
Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).
Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Five (5) or more years of managerial experience
Three (3) or more years experience in insurance operations
SKILLS
Deep working knowledge of insurance services industries.
Knowledge of insurance industry procedures, practices and terminology.
Knowledge of ACA and Medicare products and processes.
Knowledge of business processing functions including insurance accounting practices, systems, technology and related federal and state regulations.
Knowledge of program and project management including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite, MS Outlook software preferred).
Skill in working effectively with other company departments, internal marketing staff, home office personnel and agents.
Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts.
Skill in the use of time management, project management, organization, supervisory and organizational leadership skills.
Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with other management members, employees and the general public.
Ability to effectively manage, motivate and train personnel.
