  • Salary Range - $40,000 to $50,000
  • Clearance - A successful candidate must have an active "Secret" clearance to be considered.
  • Location - Goodfellow AFB, TX

The position will support 344thth MI Battalion (BN) S-2 Staff Security Officers in support of the Personnel Security Program (PERSEC). This support will consist of providing the following BN S-2 support services:



  • Administer clearance verification and processing of Department of the Army Civilian (DAC), and Military;
  • Support Defense Information System for Security (DISS) / National Background Investigation Services (NBIS) clearance verification processing for security clearances for students, active-duty military, government employees and contractors.
  • Process security packets (SF 86) through Personnel Security Investigations- Center of Excellence (PSI-CoE) for civilian and military personnel IAW DAMI- CDS, memorandum 2010;
  • Assist with the input and tracking of security related information into DISS and the USAICoE G-2's PERSEC web-based application accessible through Intelligence Knowledge Online (IKN).
  • Utilize and input security related information into the Security Information System of Record and the USAICoE G-2's PERSEC web-based application and assist with DISS security clearances for active-duty military, DACs, and contractors.
  • Review BN assignment rosters to ensure all personnel are in-processed into DISS, USAICoE G-2, and the BDE S-2.
  • Assist with assessing and resolving suspensions, eligibility changes, incident updates, and messages -the security system of record and from the Central Adjudicative Facility (CAF) Portal IAW DAMI-CD memo for the implementation of Consolidate Clearance Facility (CCF) dated Jan 10 2011.
  • Initiate Courier Orders for review and approval by the BN S-2 Officer in Charge.
  • Initiate in- and out-processing of students, active-duty military, DACs, and contractors. Submit Compelling Needs memorandums and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Billet Nomination for review and approval to the Special Security Office (SSO).
  • Monitor and schedule appointments with the SSO.
  • Prepare, update, and brief training, command and staff slides.
  • Review and route Reports of Unfavorable Information utilizing the DA Form 5248.
  • Serve as alternate key inventory point of contact (POC) IAW AR 190- 51.
  • Assist as alternate point of contact for control of the S2 personnel records repository. Answer phone calls from Post Security to assist with their continuing security requirements and requests.
  • Schedule and track annual security training status to include Continuing Security Assurance Program (CSAP).


Minimal Qualifications



  • Active Secret Clearance prior to employment
  • Associates Degree or Technical Certificate. (2 year of applicable experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • Five years military experience performing Security functions preferred (not required)
