Job Description

The Commercial Senior Financial Analyst serves as a key business partner to the Commercial and Finance teams, providing advanced financial insights, performance analytics, and decision support. This position combines strong analytical execution with growing strategic influence. The Senior Analyst supports P&L transparency, leads financial modeling, drives process improvements, and deepens commercial profitability understanding to guide business decisions and enhance financial performance.



This role is based in Charlotte, NC and will be expected to be in office Monday through Thursday with the option to be remote on Fridays.



Key Responsibilities



Financial & Performance Analysis



  • Deliver advanced financial analysis covering revenue, pricing, product margins, customer profitability, and commercial trends.
  • Lead variance analysis across the P&L, interpreting key drivers, identifying risks and opportunities, and communicating insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop enhanced dashboards, KPI tracking tools, and automated reporting solutions to support data-driven decision-making.



Financial Planning & Forecasting




  • Support and partially lead budgeting, forecasting, and longrange planning activities, including scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis.



  • Consolidate commercial inputs and ensure alignment between financial plans and commercial objectives.





Customer Rebates & Commercial Programs




  • Oversee key components of the customer rebate process, including sales allowance monitoring, balance sheet reconciliations, and process compliance.



  • Support process improvements, policy consistency, and enhanced controls within rebate management.





Business Partnering




  • Act as a trusted partner to Sales, Marketing, and Operations by providing clear financial insights and evaluating commercial initiatives.



  • Participate in pricing reviews, customer profitability assessments, and margin optimization initiatives.





Month-End Close & Controlling




  • Prepare and review accruals, journal entries, and P&L validations during monthend close.



  • Ensure accuracy of financial results through improved processes, reconciliations, and analytical reviews.





Strategic & AdHoc Analysis




  • Lead deepdive analyses on sales performance, pricing strategy effectiveness, margin drivers, and competitive/market dynamics.



  • Support strategic initiatives, including cost optimization and commercial investment evaluations.





Process Improvement & Controls




  • Contribute to the enhancement of internal financial controls, reporting accuracy, and process efficiency.



  • Recommend and implement best practices that strengthen commercial finance operations.



Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a finance or commercial analyst role, ideally within a global or matrixed organization.
  • Strong financial modeling and advanced Excel capabilities.
  • Experience with SAP, OneStream, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and understanding of profitability drivers.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex data into actionable insights for both finance and nonfinance partners.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and drive analysis with minimal oversight.

Pay Transparency:

Target base range: $74,500 - 134,040



The range disclosed complies with applicable state and local pay transparency laws. Offers within this range will be determined by considering relevant factors including education, experience, and internal alignment. This position may also be eligible for annual performance bonuses and other incentive programs.
