Overview

QuarterLine (QL), a Planned Systems International (PSI) company, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join the Occupational Medical Services healthcare team at Tinker Air Force Base, OK. The selected candidate will deliver nursing care in a DoD clinical environment, including patient assessments, medication administration, support for diagnostic procedures, patient education, care coordination, and accurate documentation in accordance with contract requirements, facility protocols, and applicable regulatory standards.

This role requires a dependable nursing professional who can meet government qualification, credentialing, security, and onboarding requirements while working under a personal services arrangement. The ideal candidate will bring recent registered nursing experience in a primary care or occupational medicine setting, a current unrestricted RN license, strong clinical judgment, and a commitment to supporting mission readiness and high-quality care for service members and eligible patient populations.

    Duty Location: Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. No Telework allowed.
  • Duty Hours: Monday - Friday, 0700 - 1600.
    • No Overage, No OT.
    • Not required to work Holidays.


Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities

  • Initiate, perform and complete assigned duties in providing care to variable patient populations.
  • Complete assigned patient care based on the patients' conditions, use judgment in selecting the appropriate order and sequence of procedures and treatments, and accurately recognize, report and record relevant patient information.
  • Observe, identify and respond to the patient's needs for care, including medication, equipment-assisted care and patient/family education.
  • Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular and/or intravenous) and perform treatments according to established policies/procedures.
  • Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the provider, and initiate appropriate emergency interventions within scope of practice.
  • Perform support duties for complex diagnostic tests and/or specialized practices or procedures, which include preparing the patient, assisting in the diagnostic examination, preparing and handling specialized instruments or other specialized equipment, and monitoring the patient's condition before, during, and following the procedure.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with a diverse group of people for the purpose of informing the healthcare team of plans/actions, for teaching/education to benefit the patient/family and organization.
  • Performs nursing assessments both in person and over the telephone according to established organizational standards of telehealth nursing.
  • Collects and assesses significant patient history information and performs all necessary patient teaching.
  • Excellent written communication skills to perform accurate documentation, both written and electronic, of all activity, including telephone contacts, in accordance with requirements.
  • Makes referral appointments and arranges specialty care as appropriate.
  • Skill in setting up, operating and monitoring specialized medical equipment such as cardiac monitoring devices, EKG units, oxygen analyzers, nebulizers, and other clinic specific equipment.
  • Performs/assists with procedures such as bladder catheterizations, administration of oxygen, visual acuity tests, EKGs, irrigation of eyes and ears, tympanograms, splinting, phlebotomy and other clinic specific procedures, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Synthesizes data from a variety of sources and makes appropriate clinical decisions.
  • Works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality care.


Minimum Requirements

  • Degree/Education: ASN, BSN, or MSN Graduate from an accredited college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following:
    • The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the
    • Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of registered nursing experience in a primary care setting within the past five (5) years.
  • Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: The contract worker performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a registered nurse.
  • Certification(s): Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Certification cards must display the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross. Web-based (on-line) classes are not acceptable by the Government.



Desired Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Military Treatment Facility (MTF) environment.
  • Experience in occupational medicine, primary care, or ambulatory care settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and military healthcare operations.


Additional Information

  • Occupational Health: The contract worker shall be required to obtain documentation of required physical testing or a report of a physical examination.
  • Tuberculosis Screening: The Contractor ensure contract workers shall be screened for tuberculosis (TB).
  • Health Requirements. The Contractor shall provide documentation certifying health requirements such as immunizations, annual vaccinations, and physical examination when required at the time of initial placement.
  • Subject to a background and security investigation to include drug screening.
  • Employees shall maintain good personal hygiene and present a well-groomed and professional appearance IAW the policy at the place of performance.
