Relief Packer- Night Shift

Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team, and are currently recruiting for a Relief Packer to join our team of manufacturing professionals in Hanover, PA on Third Shift.

As a Relief Packer, this candidate will be responsible for inspecting and packing quality products into boxes, cartons, cans, and specialty containers in a team atmosphere. This position works Monday-Thursday 7:40PM-4:30AM.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects packaged items and alerts machine operator or shift supervisor of any defects.




• Inspects package weight.
• Verifies code, dates, and price.
• Examines package for proper seal.




• Reports any and all conditions that could lead to contaminated product.
• Packs product into cartons, cans and specialty containers and places them onto skids/conveyors.
• Prepares items for production (cans/labels/trays/rework items).
• Maintains an organized and sanitary work environment at all times following OSHA, FDA and Good Manufacturing Practices to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Requires basic math and reading skills.
• Requires knowledge of product quality and production processes.
• Ability to stand 100% of the time.
• Moderate lifting (40lbs).
