JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Nursing Project Manager is primarily responsible for the successful planning and execution of multiple clinical projects to achieve the organization's strategic objectives. The Nursing Project Manager is a specialist in project management and change management in addition to bringing a strong clinical background to the position. Nursing Project Managers will be assigned to high risk, complex, enterprise and cross-departmental projects, and uniquely bring their understanding of clinical workflows to project work. The incumbent will work with the organization's leaders in clinical, administrative and support departments. The Nursing Project Manager utilizes a structured methodology to plan and implement projects; and when required, analyzes organizational systems and processes and makes recommendations for operational improvements. The individual will provide key support throughout project lifecycles including identifying and tracking milestones, resources, managing risks to timelines/ budgets and keeping project stakeholders/ sponsors informed regularly of progress/ challenges.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in nursing, master's preferred; Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification and change management certification preferred or active pursuit thereof.

EXPERIENCE:

Three to five years of varied clinical experience with healthcare management experience. Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing and evaluating performance improvement projects.
