Overview
The Operations Supervisor for Paint & Sound Dampening must possess an energetic and positive attitude and be willing to change and develop as requirements of assigned tasks dictate. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for daily assignments and overall coordination of employees performing modular painting, sound damping, anti-sweat, stud shooting, smoke barrier and poly shielding installations
- Meet department safety, quality, schedule and cost objectives
- Take disciplinary action in accordance with company policy and procedures and confer with Human Resources concerning employee problems and manner of resolution
- Promote continuous effort to improve operations, schedule span reduction, streamline work processes and work cooperatively with other trades to provide quality customer service
- Perform daily work order maintenance and progress work weekly
- Daily interactions with peers including supervisors from multiple trades and upper levels of management
- Develop and execute plans
- Understand and follow company policies, procedures, specifications, drawings and instructions
- Maintain a clean working environment

This position is to support 2nd shift. This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI location.
Qualifications
Required:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 1 + years of Paint and/or Sound Dampening experience at Electric Boat or 3 + years combined of relevant experience and leadership in a high-volume setting
- Must be able to read and interpret EB blue prints
- Must possess strong PC skills including proficiency with MS Office suite
- Must be available to work all shifts, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictate
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense
Preferred:
- Previous leadership experience including supervisory, acting supervisor, working leader or management experience overseeing paint and/or dampening trades
- 2 + years of Paint and/or Sound Dampening experience
- Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs
- MDU graduate
- Working Leader program
- Familiar with High Solids paint and confined spaces (Tanks)
- NACE Certification
- Military experience
- DoD security clearance
