As a Security Officer - Truck Gate Morning Shift in San Pedro, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support smooth site operations. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and provide outstanding customer service and communication while helping to deter security-related incidents. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to all persons at the location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or visitor information, and maintain required access logs for employees, visitors, and delivery drivers.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns according to site policies.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, shipping and receiving areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
• Support security-related operations at a logistics and distribution location by observing trailer, freight, and gate activity and reporting policy violations, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
