Position Responsibilities

The Vice President of FP&A reports to the CFO and leads a global team of approximately 30 professionals. This role transforms financial planning and decision-making into a competitive advantage by helping the business anticipate opportunities, manage risk, and reallocate resources quickly.

You will advance AI-driven predictive planning, scale technology-enabled decision support, and enhance executive-level financial storytelling. In addition to owning planning, budgeting, and forecasting, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner to the CFO and Executive Leadership Team. The ideal candidate combines deep FP&A expertise, strong people leadership, and a proven record of driving digital innovation.

Key Responsibilities 1. Lead an Effective Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Cycle
  • Lead and continuously improve long-range planning, annual budgeting, and forecasting
  • Use forecasting and scenario modelling to anticipate decisions, mitigate risk, and reprioritise initiatives
  • Establish integrated planning aligned to strategic, financial, and operational goals
  • Partner with Accounting on credible pro-forma financial statements
2. Deliver World-Class Decision Support at Scale
  • Build high-performing teams providing decision support on profitability, cash flow, strategic planning, investments, M&A, management reporting, and sales compensation
  • Act as a trusted finance partner to Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations leaders
  • Own sales compensation plan design, administration, and continuous improvement
  • Scale FP&A support through embedded, technology-driven decision tools
  • Strengthen cross-functional analytics partnerships and data quality
3. Drive Corporate Development & M&A
  • Partner with the CFO and CTO on acquisition strategy, market prioritisation, and investment rationale
  • Lead market sizing, competitive analysis, and build-vs-buy evaluations
  • Oversee financial due diligence, valuation, synergies, and ROI analysis
  • Establish repeatable M&A processes from evaluation through integration
  • Serve as the primary FP&A interface with Roper Technologies on corporate development
4. Lead Predictive Analytics & AI Enablement
  • Advance AI/ML-driven forecasting, profitability, cost analytics, and scenario planning
  • Improve the Data & Analytics operating model for scale and standardisation
  • Establish governance over analytics outputs and management reporting
  • Coach teams to move from variance analysis to root-cause insights and actions
  • Own the FP&A technology roadmap and key vendor relationships
5. Improve Enterprise Performance Monitoring
  • Build robust KPI and reporting capabilities tied to business drivers
  • Align leaders on performance goals while surfacing risks and opportunities
  • Monitor leading indicators and support CFO-led business reviews
6. Develop & Retain FP&A Talent
  • Position FP&A as a destination for high-performing digital finance talent
  • Foster innovation, skills development, mentoring, and technology adoption
  • Support the transition to a technology-enabled, advisory-focused FP&A model

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • FP&A Expertise: Advanced planning, forecasting, P&L, balance sheet, and KPI management
  • Strategic Acumen: Strong understanding of revenue drivers, margins, and executive decision support
  • Collaboration: Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional outcomes
  • Leadership: Proven people leadership focused on accountability, growth, and change
  • Executive Communication: Clear, compelling financial storytelling for senior audiences
  • Digital & AI Fluency: Ability to translate advanced technologies into practical finance use cases
  • M&A Capability: Market sizing, valuation, financial modelling, and deal support experience
Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; Finance, Economics, or Business preferred
  • MBA or CFA strongly preferred

Experience

  • 10-15 years of progressive FP&A or finance leadership experience
  • Proven success supporting CFOs and executive teams on planning, performance, capital allocation, and M&A
  • Experience with sales compensation design and administration
  • Track record of implementing advanced forecasting, automation, and AI-enabled analytics
  • Strong exposure to ERP, BI, and modern planning platforms
  • Experience leading complex teams, managing vendors, and delivering enterprise-scale initiatives

Compensation Info

The U.S. salary range for this position is $197,500.00-$348,500.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
