Job Description

Elwyn Seeks a Director MH of Quality Improvement to monitor and promote the delivery of quality services to clients with internal and external criteria, policies and procedures, regulations, standards and best practices through the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality improvement plan. Design, develop, facilitate and implement program or division policies or procedures. Monitor and promote the safety and health of all clients within the division. Ensure compliance with all Elwyn policies and procedures, state regulations, accrediting measures and insurance standards.
This position does allow for some remote work, but the expectation is to be in the office for multiple campuses in Media, PA. The salary range is anywhere from $75k-$80k with room for negotiation based on background, experience, and education.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and initiate (annually) a Quality Improvement (QI) Plan, which outlines the activities and projects for the coming year
  • Develop and maintain performance measures, quality indicators and outcomes for programs, including identification of programs, data collection, analysis and reporting; evaluate the usefulness of indications and recommend corrective action plans for performance deficiencies
  • Plan and implement comprehensive quality improvement studies, including data collection, analysis and reporting, that are based on best practices or areas identified for improvement
  • Assist in the development of consumer and stakeholder/customer satisfaction
  • Submit quarterly report of all quality improvement activities to the Senior Director
  • Submit quarterly reports of all Health and Safety reviews to the Senior Director
  • Complete annual Quality Improvement Evaluation, which reviews all components of the Quality Improvement Plan, including policy implementation, incident reports, health and safety reviews, quality indicators, QI studies, training, and satisfaction survey
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to program and division activities
  • Review division policies annually with program directors and Senior Director
  • Monitor program compliance in relation to Elwyn policy and procedures, government regulations, insurance and Managed Care Organizations (MCO) standards and accrediting measures
  • Lead all accreditation, certification and auditing surveys and serve as liaison between programs and reviewers
    Facilitate survey processes through program preparation and monitoring, and assisting with the follow up of corrective action plans
  • Chair the Quality Improvement Committee that meets monthly
  • Monitor and report on health and safety standards within the division, including building inspections, fire/safety inspections and vehicle inspections and follow up on areas needing improvement
  • Participate in corporate committees assigned, such as HIPAA and Corporate Disaster Planning
  • Conduct fact finding reviews as determined by the Executive Director and report results
  • Communicate with program directors on issues important to their operations
  • Develop and implement systems evaluating compliance and follow up
  • Conduct compliance monitoring through chart audits, licensing preparations, fact finding reviews and elements of the Corporate Compliance Program
  • Conduct special projects as needed, such as Employee Satisfaction Survey and Division Report Card
  • Complete monthly Compliance Review and report issues to Corporate Compliance Officer
  • Research and report on industry trends and best practices to directors. Determine need for implementation and analyze results
  • Serve as a member of the management team and participate in meetings related to administrative functions
  • Provide supervision of assigned staff in the areas including, but not limited to, recruitment, selection, leadership, coaching, training, performance management, promotion, discipline and termination
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), crisis intervention and medication administration using agency-trained protocols
  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Five years' experience with the QA&I/UR function
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Must be able to perform CPR using agency-trained protocols
  • Demonstrate basic experience with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint; Access, Publisher and report-writer experience preferred
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license in the state of residence, have a minimum of two (2) years of driving experience within the United States, and have an acceptable driving record, which will be assessed through a review of the Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) record, in accordance with Elwyn's Vehicle Operation and Driver's Code Policy 905. For individuals licensed for more than two (2) years, the driving record will be reviewed for acceptability based on the past three (3) years. Additionally, employees required to drive as part of their job may need to successfully complete and pass an Elwyn Road Test before being authorized to drive.
  • Must possess excellent customer interaction, collaboration, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) / Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
