Summary:

The Commercial Client Manager serves as a key liaison between Commercial Relationship Managers (CRMs), Indirect Team, Mortgage Team, Workplace Banking Team members (Teams), and internal operations teams. This role is responsible for opening business deposit accounts, consumer deposit accounts, maintaining CRM and client systems, cross sell services around all deposit programs and coordinating the collection of loan stipulations to ensure timely and accurate movement of commercial loans through the approval and closing process.

This individual provides a high level of service to internal and external members and plays a critical role in ensuring a smooth, compliant, and efficient commercial client experience.

Responsibilities:

Commercial Account & Client Onboarding


  • Partner with CRMs (and all Teams) to open new deposit accounts, including collecting required documentation and ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Initiate and track new client onboarding requests in internal systems and CRM platforms as well as a cross sell based on member needs.
  • Maintain and update member and entity data across CRM and core systems to ensure regulatory and operational accuracy.
  • Coordinate account maintenance requests, including relationship updates, entity changes, and documentation refreshes.



Loan Stipulation & Documentation Support


  • Serve as the primary point of contact for collecting, tracking, and following up on loan stipulations from borrowers.
  • Communicate clearly with members as well as processing teams and other teams regarding outstanding conditions and required documentation.
  • Review received documentation for completeness and consistency prior to submission to Processing, Underwriting, or Closing.
  • Monitor loan pipelines and escalate missing or time-sensitive stipulations as needed.



CRM & Internal Coordination:


  • Maintain accurate and timely updates within CRM and loan tracking systems.
  • Act as a liaison between CRMs, Processing, Underwriting, Closing, and Deposit Operations.
  • Assist CRMs by providing status updates on account openings, loan conditions, and documentation progress.
  • Support compliance with internal policies, procedures, and service-level expectations.


Service & Administrative Support:


  • Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding account opening and loan documentation status.
  • Support relationship management efforts by providing reliable, organized follow-through.
  • Perform general administrative and operational duties related to commercial lending support as assigned.


Required Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  • Bachelor's degree Finance, Business, Economics, Business/Administration, Management, Statistics. (Required)
  • Master's degree in finance, or related field (Preferred)
  • 2+ experience in commercial lending, business banking, or financial services operations. (Required).
  • 8+ years of experience in financial services
  • Experience with account opening procedures preferred
  • Experience collecting or coordinating loan documentation or stipulations strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and banking platforms


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with relationship managers, internal partners, and members
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Understanding of business entities and commercial lending documentation is a plus
