Description The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking a Development and Communication Assistant to join our PR Department. Position Summary: The Development and Communications Assistant plays a key role in advancing the fundraising, donor engagement, community outreach, and communications efforts of the Children's Home of Poughkeepsie. This position provides high-level administrative and project support to the Development Office, helping to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the department. This role is ideal for a highly organized, tech-savvy individual who is passionate about storytelling, nonprofit development, and making a difference in the community. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision. A professional and friendly demeanor is essential, along with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends for events or meetings. Key Responsibilities:
Schedule: Monday - Friday normal business hours.
