Corporate Treasurer

First Merchants Bank is seeking a Corporate Treasurer to join our team! This position will support the enterprise-wide financial strategy through management of capital and balance sheet structure, interest rate and liquidity risk, and pricing for loans and deposits for the corporation. Trusted advisor to CFO providing forward-looking insights and actionable strategies that align with the bank's growth objectives, regulatory requirements and economic environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute strategies to maintain adequate liquidity and capital levels under varying market conditions and manage daily cash levels.
• Optimize funding sources and capital allocation to support business objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor and manage interest rate risk through effective asset-liability management and hedging.
• Design and implement strategies to optimize balance sheet structure for profitability and resilience.
• Advise of pricing methodologies for loans and deposits to ensure competitive positioning and margin optimization.
• Partner with CFO and executive leadership to provide insights on macroeconomic trends, regulatory changes and their impact on liquidity and capital strategies.
• Lead scenario planning and stress testing to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and Asset & Liability Management Policies/guidelines.
• Oversee corporate treasury policies, procedures, outside advisors, contingency plans and reporting to maintain transparency and accountability.

To be successful in this position, we require the following:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of treasury or financial risk management, or related experience.
