Missouri Cancer Associates (MCA) is a multi-specialty practice providing medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, and urology services across ten communities in Missouri. With 24 providers and a flagship location in Columbia, MCA has proudly served Mid-Missouri for over 40 years and is recognized for high-quality, patient-centered cancer care.

Why This Role Matters

This is a senior clinical leadership role with practice-level impact. The Director of Clinical Services - Nursing & Quality plays a critical role in shaping nursing practice, clinical quality, regulatory readiness, and value-based care initiatives across multiple locations and service lines.

Reporting & Scope

  • Reports to: Executive Director
  • Direct Reports: Oncology Nurse Manager, Urology Nurse Manager
  • Scope: Nursing and quality oversight across three locations and multiple service lines

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for nursing services across oncology and urology
  • Lead clinical quality, accreditation, and value-based care initiatives for clinical and payer programs
  • Partner with executive leadership to optimize care delivery, patient flow, and staffing models
  • Support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and quality performance monitoring
  • Oversee nursing leadership development, staffing strategy, and retention efforts
  • Collaborate across clinical, operational, research, IT, and compliance teams to improve care delivery and outcomes
  • Serve as a key clinical voice in practice improvement, clinical systems optimization, and innovation

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN), active and unrestricted
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing required; Master's degree preferred
  • Progressive nursing leadership experience in oncology or specialty practice settings
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, and value-based care environments
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, collaboration, and change in complex clinical environments

Additional Information

  • Occasional travel required, including 1-2 US Oncology meetings per year and site visits as needed
