Strategic Sourcing Manager (Healthcare) Arlington, VA (Hybrid, primarily onsite) Full-Time Opportunity $70,000 - $120,000 base salary (based on experience) Overview We are seeking a highly experienced Strategic Sourcing Manager to lead procurement initiatives within a dynamic healthcare environment. This role will play a critical part in optimizing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of medical supplies, equipment, and services while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities * Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives across healthcare categories, including medical supplies and clinical services * Develop and execute category strategies that drive cost savings and operational efficiency * Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contract performance * Collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders to balance physician preferences with sourcing strategy and cost containment goals * Oversee and guide a team of sourcing specialists on daily operations and strategic initiatives * Analyze procurement data, track KPIs, and deliver reporting to leadership * Ensure all sourcing activities align with healthcare regulations and organizational compliance standards * Partner cross-functionally to support supply chain optimization and long-term sustainability What You Bring * Bachelor's degree required * At least 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management * Healthcare sourcing experience, with the ability to navigate clinical stakeholder preferences * Strong project management and organizational skills * Experience working with ERP systems, including Workday * Proven ability to manage complex negotiations and vendor relationships * Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decisions Preferred Experience * Background in healthcare supply chain or hospital procurement environments * Experience working with high-preference clinical categories such as cardiology or orthopedics * Vendor management and performance optimization experience * Data analysis and reporting expertise Work Environment * Hybrid schedule with a strong onsite presence required in Arlington, VA * Flexible working hours within a Monday-Friday schedule * Collaborative team environment supporting procurement and supply chain operations * Direct impact on organizational efficiency and procurement strategy What Makes This Role Unique * Opportunity to influence strategic sourcing decisions in a healthcare setting * High visibility role with direct collaboration across clinical and executive teams * Ability to drive meaningful cost savings while supporting patient care outcomes * Leadership opportunity with team oversight and project ownership Interview Process * Multiple interview stages with leadership and team members * Focus on sourcing strategy, stakeholder engagement, and healthcare procurement expertise Compliance Requirements * Background check required * Drug screening required * Medical screening required as part of the onboarding process If you are a strategic sourcing professional with healthcare experience and a passion for driving efficiency while supporting clinical excellence, this is a strong opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
