Responsibilities

Procurement Analyst

Massillon, OH (Hybrid Schedule)

The Procurement Analyst supports day-to-day raw material procurement activities across multiple categories. This role partners with suppliers and internal cross-functional teams to help ensure continuity of supply, competitive cost, and quality/service performance. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exposure to contracting and negotiation support, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Procurement Analyst, Raw Materials will report to the Director of Procurement, Raw Materials.

Your seat at the table:

  • Support sourcing activities and help secure supply across assigned raw material categories from approved suppliers.
  • Assist with supplier onboarding, documentation, and routine contract administration (e.g., tracking key terms, renewals, and compliance requirements).
  • Monitor market trends and seasonal conditions to flag supply risks/opportunities and share insights with Procurement leadership.
  • Coordinate with Material Planning, Operations, Transportation, Quality, and Vendors to help ensure supply meets demand in a cost-effective manner.
  • Support supplier relationship management activities, including meeting preparation, follow-ups, and action tracking.
  • Create and maintain documentation (including but not limited to continuity plans, supplier segmentation, supplier scorecards).
  • Learn and apply company and supplier specifications for raw materials; partner with Quality to support issue resolution and corrective actions.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and suppliers to support alignment on quality, quantity, and timelines.
  • Support risk management activities (e.g., price visibility, volatility tracking, and market competitiveness analyses).
  • Maintain accurate pricing, supplier, and item master data in inventory/procurement systems; support purchase order creation and updates as needed.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on inventory, deliveries, supplier performance, and market conditions.
  • Assist with forecasting and budgeting activities for assigned raw material categories; compile inputs and support scenario analysis.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Business Administration, Agriculture, or related field, or equivalent experience.
    • Experience: 1-3 years of procurement, supply chain, or related experience (manufacturing environment preferred).
    • Working knowledge of supply chain and logistics concepts.
    • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Excel including pivot tables and PBI.
    • ERP systems: Experience using ERP systems required; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is strongly preferred.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to build productive working relationships across functions and with suppliers.
    • Ability to help analyze and screen suppliers for basic financial, supply, and service capabilities; escalates risks appropriately.
    • Comfortable learning and following established procurement, quality, and compliance processes.
    • Self-starter with ability to juggle priorities and respond to short-deadline requests in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong analytical skills; able to use data to support recommendations and communicate impacts to cost and service.
