Material Handler Forklift Operator -1st Shift

The Sanmina Fremont facility is a full-service enclosure systems solution manufacturing plant. Located in California's Silicon Valley, this facility produces low-to-mid volume New Product Introduction (NPI) runs to full-scale volume. The Fremont facility offers everything from small piece parts to fully integrated and tested systems. In addition, this location offers in-house painting capabilities and flexible logistics solutions in distribution, inventory management and hubbing, as well as repair services.

Job Purpose:

The Material Handler Forklift operator is a vital link in the supply chain, responsible for the seamless movement of goods within a manufacturing or warehouse environment. This role ensures that production lines remain fueled with raw materials and that finished products are efficiently transitioned to storage or shipping.

Nature of Duties/ Responsibilities:

• Deliver raw materials, parts, and supplies to workstations to keep production moving.
• Identify, label, scan, and track materials to ensure inventory records are accurate.
• Load/unload shipments and stage finished products for distribution.
• Safely operate forklifts, conveyors, and pallet jacks, performing pre-use inspections.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area

Education & Experience:

• Minimum 4-6 years of forklift or material handling experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Previous material handling or forklift experience in a manufacturing environment is often required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Proficiency with inventory management software or scanners.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe lifting practices.

Salary Range (annual): $49,920 - $56,160 ($24.00 - $27.00 per hour). Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package. The total rewards package also includes a variety of benefits, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business and, depending on the role, may include eligibility for restricted stock unit awards and participation in a discretionary bonus program.
