Seneca Federal Solutions has an immediate need for a Senior Telecommunications Technician. This role will support our government client and require up to 90% travel. Candidates can be based anywhere but will be expected to travel to work on-site as contract needs require. This position requires a government clearance and regular NCIC and SF-86 background investigations. To be eligible, candidates must be clearable.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:



  • Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and servicing of CCTV and video surveillance systems, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair system faults including cameras, DVRs/NVRs, cabling, and network components.
  • Conduct system health checks, firmware updates, and preventative maintenance in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Assess legacy or aging CCTV systems and perform upgrades, including hardware replacements, system expansions, and migration to newer IP-based or networked solutions.
  • Recommend and implement system improvements to enhance performance, security, and scalability, including transitioning outdated analog systems to modern digital platforms.
  • Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues within defined SLAs.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support emergency service requests and ensure continuous system availability in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Provide remote and/or phone-based technical support as part of a 24/7 support line, including initial troubleshooting, incident logging, and escalation as needed.
  • Test and verify system functionality after maintenance or repairs to ensure proper operation.
  • Maintain accurate service records, reports, and documentation for all maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical support and basic user guidance to customers; escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Interpret system drawings, schematics, and manuals to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, operations teams, and clients to schedule maintenance and minimize downtime.
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to enhance system reliability and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and contractual obligations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Requirements



  • Education: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in CCTV or electronic security system maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in video surveillance systems
  • Technical Skills:

    • Experience with CCTV systems, including IP cameras, NVRs/DVRs, and networking fundamentals
    • Familiarity with system software, remote monitoring tools, and firmware updates
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams


  • Certifications: QVMS experience and certifications preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage service schedules
  • Must be willing to travel to client sites as needed (travel may be required for service calls, installations, maintenance, and support activities).
