Site Reliability Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Plano, TX, Pennington, NJ or Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This is an opportunity to join a new Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team and help build its practices from the ground up. The ideal candidate will be responsible for generating and maintaining Critical User Journeys (CUJs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Objectives (SLOs). This role requires a strong focus on driving reliability, improving the customer experience, and the ability to confidently communicate with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Establish SRE practices and tasks from the ground up
• Generate and maintain CUJs, SLIs, and SLOs
• Manage error budgets and conduct blameless post-mortems
• Influence and set the culture for a new SRE team
• Drive reliability and advocate for the customer experience of the service
• Communicate effectively and confidently with business stakeholders

Requirements:

• Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
• Strong understanding of SLIs/SLOs
• The ability to code in any language
• Experience with Agile development practices
• Knowledge of SQL and DevOps principles
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present your position with confidence

Desired skills:

• A background in software development or DevOps

Pay range: $60.00 - $68.00 per hour
