Working closely with a Program Manager and cross-functional teams, this role focuses on learning aerospace products, manufacturing processes, and customer requirements while supporting daily technical activities and new part introductions. Regular interaction with internal teams and customers is a key part of the role, along with developing strong project coordination and communication skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the introduction of new parts from blueprint receipt through first article delivery, under the guidance of a Program Manager.
  • Assist with managing timelines, milestones, and communication for New Part Introduction (NPI) projects.
  • Help incorporate customer engineering changes and drawing revisions into manufacturing documentation.
  • Learn to write and maintain clear production instructions for new and existing parts.
  • Track sample castings and assist in identifying and correcting issues related to product quality or performance.
  • Update work instructions and support tooling corrections to improve part quality and manufacturability.
  • Assist with resolving day-to-day technical issues to support consistent production output.
  • Support the definition and approval of process requirements to meet material properties and end-use performance.
  • Provide status updates to internal teams (Sales, Operations, Quality) and assist with customer communications.
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical reviews, and design discussions to build customer-facing skills.
  • Assist with basic technical investigations related to customer concerns and help document findings.
  • Learn gating, investing, casting, and heat treat requirements for titanium castings through collaboration with senior engineers.
  • Work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to provide technical support.
  • Participate in sample reviews, NPI meetings, and design reviews as part of the engineering team.
  • Develop the ability to manage multiple tasks and engineering projects with increasing independence.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures while maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
  • Participate in required safety training, health monitoring, and assessments.
  • Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas.
  • Perform physical job functions including standing, bending, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
  • Meet established attendance and reliability standards.
  • Report work-related injuries or illnesses immediately.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, and Required Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, preferably in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Metallurgical Engineering, or Materials Science. Consideration may be given to candidates with equivalent technical experience and a proven progression into engineering-level responsibilities.
  • Investment casting experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and engineered products.
  • Ability and desire to learn engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues with guidance.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills; willingness to engage with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with interest in learning project coordination and engineering fundamentals.

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.

This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
