As a Software Developer Intern at Espy,youwillbe part of a small but growing teamresponsible forcreatingstate-of-the-artsystemsthat provide critical signals intelligence to government customers. You willwork with other engineers toenhance, test, andmaintain a NodeJS/Reactsoftware stack that interfaces with our core products that records high-bandwidthsignal data forlong-term digital storage. Youwill be designingweb applications thathelp our customers visualize and understand complex signal environments.Youwillhave the opportunity tokeep up with latest advances in radio sensor equipment, computing hardware, operating systems,DSP techniques, machine learning, and othersoftware technologies as weconstantly adaptin a fast-moving environmentand increase the value of our products. Duties (includes but not limited to): Design, implement, and testJavaScript/TypeScriptsoftware ina Node.js/React framework Coordinate with engineering team, field support team, and customers todesign and prioritize new features and bug fixes Hands-ontesting and deployment support for world-wide customers Stay current of industry advances and professional education, embracethe emergence ofnew technologies. Work independently with sound professional judgement to overcome obstacles and complete tasks on time byleveragingcollaboration, delegation, and leadership skills. QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY: Thorough understanding ofHTML5,JavaScript, TypeScript,React, Node.js,Mongo Passion for creatingintuitive, elegant,and attractive user interfacesin the web Familiar withsoftware development usingLinuxand Docker Ability to work both independently and in collaboration withteamsto design effective user interfaces Eagerness to learn and rapidly apply new skills Preferred:Bachelor's degree in relevant technical area: (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics) Preferred: Experience/passion for functional styles Preferred:Experiencewith WebGL Preferred: Experience with software management tools (git, JIRA) Preferred: Familiarity with C++ Preferred: Familiarity with RabbitMQ Preferred: Familiarity with Machine Learning/Computer Vision Preferred: Willingness to travel 2-3 times per year Preferred: Consideration for TS/SCI security clearance Communication Skills:Demonstratedability to clearly present information through the spoken and written word with all levels of an organization.
