Ecolab is providing an exciting opportunity to join our Safety, Health & Environment (SH&E) organization as an SH&E Compliance Specialist. The successful candidate will join a dedicated Center of Excellence (COE) team focused on delivering programs that identify and mitigate safety and environmental risks.

Working through a network of COE, supply chain, and international market partners, the role provides hands-on expertise in administering internal SH&E audit and compliance programs (strategy, execution, reporting, analysis, and continuous improvement). The role participates in programs serving manufacturing, research, sales & service, and logistics.

  • Hybrid Role (3days onsite at Naperville IL or St. Paul MN)

What you will do:

  • Utilize subject matter expertise to consult and participate in company SH&E programs and management systems
  • Participate as a Support Auditor, gaining experience to become a Lead Auditor in SH&E Programs
  • Assist Program Managers with management of audit and compliance programs
  • Stay abreast of SH&E related legal requirements, industry best practices and internal policies; engaging with internal subject matter experts to continually refine audit protocols that target compliance and risk
  • Coordinate with business partners in the strategy, scheduling, and execution of global audit programs
  • Coordinate with auditors in reviewing and distributing timely audit reports
  • Become an expert in leveraging internal database systems to track findings to closure and report ongoing status, continually seeking efficiencies and improvement
  • Perform detailed analysis of audit results to periodically report trends and conclusions to business partners and senior management
  • Grow skills in utilizing artificial intelligence tools to gain efficiency in data interpretation
  • Participate in the development and delivery of auditor competency and training programs (virtually and in person)
  • Additional duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Engineering or related science
  • 3 years of SH&E experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint)
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
  • No Immigration Sponsorship available for this opportunity

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with RCRA and other federal / state environmental regulations
  • Auditing experience
  • Chemicals industry experience
  • Global team experience

Annual or Hourly Compensation Range

The pay range for this position is $74,700.00 - $112,200.00. Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation, such as experience, education, training, geography, etc. We comply with all minimum wage and overtime laws.
