Job Title: Recovery Representative I

Location: Rochester, NY

Employment Type: Contract (7 months)

Industry: Business Process Outsourcing

Compensation: $ 15.01-24.04

Schedule: 40.00 hrs/Week

About the Opportunity:

  • Ensure accurate and timely resolution of all bank-returned items.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders while minimizing risk to the organization.
  • Educate clients, branches, and product teams on resolution processes and recommend alternative service options when needed.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of company products such as Taxpay, Direct Deposit, Readychex, Garnishments, 401(k), Workers' Compensation, Health & Benefits, FSA, and related systems.
  • Investigate and resolve product and service issues raised by clients and field teams.
  • Handle client objections with guidance from mentors and manage cases through to completion, aiming to recover lost revenue.

What You'll Do:

  • Manage return resolutions and inbound calls in line with departmental performance standards.
  • Process daily new and pending returned items for assigned products efficiently.
  • Review and update daily EDI payment reports and payroll hold reports accurately and on time to avoid penalties or service disruptions.
  • Meet daily call volume targets based on forecasts and maintain compliance with department policies and procedures.
  • Assess client status to determine eligible services while reducing risk exposure to the company.
  • Participate in ongoing training programs to enhance product knowledge and job-related skills.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and NACHA guidelines.
  • Resolve bank-returned items accurately and on time
  • Provide strong customer service while reducing company risk
  • Handle client issues, objections, and recover lost revenue
  • Process daily reports (EDI, payroll holds, returns) efficiently
  • Manage inbound calls and meet daily targets
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Maintain product knowledge and support client queries
Job Requirements

What You'll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience in Collection
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, finance, accounting, or payroll
  • 2+ years of experience in a call center

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Microsoft Word Excel and Access knowledge
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
